New Business From 2008 AGM:  The Ont. Sporting Dog Association has initiated a special and separate fund to financially help young aspiring hunters (12 yrs old to 15 years old) by helping to pay for their Hunter Apprentice Safety Program. We had several generous supporters start our fund off at our annual meeting. Details of this program will be published soon.

The Directives Of Our Organization Are As Follows;

To promote and encourage the use of sporting dogs in Ontario for hunting, training and trialing.

To promote a cooperative relationship between sporting dog owners and the general public.

The association will support and promote conservation of wildlife and natural resources by cooperating with and abiding by, the laws and regulations of respective authorities.

Work in cooperation with any other organizations whose objectives are similar to this associations.

We intend to, and are actively lobbying for a seat on a  Fish And Game Board that the Ontario Government has formed. If we get a seat on this board we will have input into decisions being made concerning all aspects of fish and game in Ontario. Naturally, many of these decisions will concern the use of sporting dogs. We need large numbers of sporting dog owners, which translate into large numbers of voters to effectively influence this or any government.
